All of us experience the human nature side of things. Death stares you in the face; yet we overcome.

I lost my first boyfriend when I was 20 to a military training accident so not widowed with children behind but I have felt the pain of an unexpected death of a person you love. I wasn’t strong in faith I was just discovering God at the time actually a week before I was so confused on what my life was supposed to be and I cried to God like I don’t know my purpose what should I do what’s the point of life and I thought he lead me to my boyfriend that day because I thought he gave me a sign that my boyfriend was supposed to be my purpose and then he died a week later after that conversation with God and that was what I felt more than anything the weight of that answer that I got from God. The first days I couldn’t eat sleep breath at times and felt and awful pain almost indescribable gnawing pain but His funeral was about a week later and I got up and made a speech beforehand I sat with friends and laughed about things probably memories like how he gave me a stupid nickname because you don’t really want to just be this burden of sadness to people. If I had her faith when that happened I’d probably have the same reaction as her because my faith in God now is stronger than I’ve ever had. I think about death often of loved ones and how I would feel and how I know Gods plan and if the devil takes one of my loved ones I know that they are secure in Gods hands and their suffering ends when they find themselves with God embracing them.

All I have to say is I hope if I die, my wife actually mourns me for longer than a few days before she starts to work on my business.

Like a tree splitting, the nervous system that is so intertwined can no longer be stimulated by that persons uniqueness; electrical signals start to die. The brain/nervous system is impacted significantly. Human nature does its thing regardless of faith.

She’s obviously strong in her faith and trust in God she doesn’t fear death and she knows Charlie is with God where we all belong so she probably mourns him in a sense that she won’t get to see him physically again but she’s obviously encouraged by her faith that this was Gods plan and she will see Charlie again soon. Life is like a snap of a finger one day we’re young and vibrant the next be are old and death is around the corner some people understand this and accept this better than others.

@Iwendtster My father died when I was 20. I went back to college the week after he died because I knew that’s what I could do to honor him. It’s completely unfair to say she isn’t mourning because she’s not crying every moment. That’s not how it works.
