The modest increase in turnout does not negate the operational shortcomings observed across several polling units. Transparency is not limited to result uploads on the IReV portal; it also requires accountability for logistical lapses that undermine electoral integrity. We urge the Commission to conduct an independent audit of the process, publish a detailed post-election operational report, and implement corrective measures ahead of future elections. The credibility of Nigeria’s democracy depends not only on peaceful conduct but on efficiency, clarity, and fairness in execution and you must be seen to get it right before the forth coming general elections of 2027.
