As a storyteller, I’ve seen first-hand how many brilliant ideas never make it to the screen simply because of a lack of capital. It is time we change that narrative in Uganda and Africa as a whole. At the Policy Roundtable Talks organised by the Centre for Law, Policy and Innovation Initiative (CeLPII) & the Africa Creatives Alliance (@AfricaCreAlli), all roads will lead to @MotivUG this Thursday 19th March, for discussions on why increasing access to credit services like loans will lead to game-changing results in fuelling the production abilities of many creatives across Uganda. The talks will position us to do more than just talk about the limitations brought about by the short funding pools and pivot us to increase the creation of a financial environment where our filmmakers can scale their work and compete globally. We’ll be speaking on how we can bridge the gap between financial institutions & the creative sector to ensure our stories get the investment they deserve. #CeLPIIRoundTableTalks
