It’s here! I was privileged to have a conversation @mscofino from @EduroLearning about my questions related to my new role. There’s still much uncharted territory as I embark on this journey, but I’m getting there. My title doesn’t include coaching but so many elements are there!

Leadership skill I have developed as a coach? Not sure this qualifies, but active listening is one. Putting aside all distractions and just listening. My colleague @mabycraft has such passion for learning he would be a great coach! #coachbetter @mscofino

How do I help others understand my role? Great question! It sort of depends on the audience and setting: Big group=big picture, 1:1=fitting the need of the teacher and somewhere in between for small teams. #coachbetter @mscofino @mattkroot

#coachbetter challenge day 5️⃣ Being able to shift from the micro to macro view, and seeing how daily actions fit into the bigger picture of an organization is a huge skill I learned as a coach. It’s something I appreciate every day running my own business too! What’s yours?

@AlexMBraden @mscofino Totally. I think that two of the most important things to have a strong coaching department, are role clarity/admin’s clarity of the coaches role, and a clear coaching model. I think it’s confusing for many though because there are so many coaching models out there!

@mscofino asks in today's challenge about essential structures. Admin support, expectation of using coaches, a clear coaching model, time to meet teams and individuals...to name a few. Wouldn't you agree @MrAlexEdTech ? :) #coachbetter

#coachbetter challenge day 3️⃣ Support people with what they want to provide time to build trusting relationships that will empower them to ask for what they need. (A lesson I learned from @taraethridge when we worked together at ISB, and still sticks with me today!). #educoach
