At Neovation, the felicitation platform of thingQbator—a Nasscom Foundation and @Cisco social innovation program—we celebrated not just ideas, but the ecosystems that power them. As we recognized the Top 10 social innovation teams building impactful solutions, a thought-provoking panel on “Democratizing AI: Building Scalable Solutions for Bharat with Minimal Resources” brought together voices from government, academia, and the development sector. The discussion unpacked a critical question: How can AI move beyond access to become truly inclusive and scalable for Bharat? From enabling grassroots innovators with low-cost tools, to the role of policy, research, and cross-sector collaboration—the panel highlighted that the future of AI lies in resource-efficient innovation, local relevance, and collective action. Featuring Garima Ujjainia, Sidhartha Pande, and Dr. Abhaya Kumar Samal, and moderated by Meghna Arya. Because empowering young innovators isn’t just about recognition—it’s about building the right conversations and ecosystems to help them scale. #Neovation #thingQbator #TechForGood #AIForBharat #DigitalInclusion #SocialInnovation #AIForAll #InnovationEcosystem

Neovation 2026 was more than just an event—it offered a glimpse into what’s possible when young innovators are given the right platform, mentorship, and support. Bringing together energy, creativity, and purpose, it reaffirmed that the future of innovation is already taking shape. The event was graced by Harish Krishnan, Director and Chief Policy Officer, Cisco India and South East Asia and Deepak Bagla, Mission Director Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog Government of India; Mohammed Y Safirulla K, IAS, Director at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology; and Anil Kumar Bhardwaj, Deputy Director General, Stakeholder Department of Telecom, highlighting the importance of collaboration across industry, policy, and community. At its core were the inspiring solutions from this year’s thingQbator cohort winners—ideas that moved beyond concepts to real-world impact, rooted in purpose, empathy, and problem-solving. A key highlight was the felicitation of Cohort 8 winners, whose work spanned innovation, agriculture, climate tech, healthtech, and disaster management—reflecting both the diversity of challenges and the ingenuity of solutions. Each team represents months of dedication, experimentation, and learning. And while this moment marks a milestone, it is only the beginning. As they move forward, they carry not just recognition, but the potential to drive meaningful, lasting impact across communities. @SurajHulagur @emrackzer

As India’s CSR ecosystem matures, collaboration across sectors is becoming increasingly important to scale meaningful impact. Corporate capabilities, civil society expertise, and government infrastructure each bring unique strengths to development initiatives. When these forces work together, programs can reach deeper into underserved regions and create more sustainable outcomes. This is particularly relevant in Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions, where ecosystem partnerships often determine whether initiatives can scale effectively. CSR 2.0 reflects this growing shift toward multi-stakeholder collaboration, where industry, civil society, and government systems work together to design more resilient impact models. At Nasscom Foundation, we see these partnerships as key to strengthening digital inclusion, employability, and economic participation across communities. #CSR2point0 #CollaborativeImpact #EcosystemBuilding #FutureOfCSR #DigitalInclusion

Social commerce in India is evolving faster than ever, and young innovators are at the centre of that shift. Kraya is a strong example of what happens when students look at real problems and decide to build smarter solutions. By simplifying data, improving visual understanding and enabling seamless on-the-go buying, Kraya is showing how social selling can become more intuitive, efficient and ready for the future. At TechForChange, ideas like these don’t stay on paper. Students get the mentorship, guidance and ecosystem they need to experiment, refine and bring their solutions to life. From identifying the opportunity to shaping a workable product, TechForChange gives young innovators the space to turn curiosity into impact. If you’re ready to build India’s next breakthrough, this is where your journey can begin. Nasscom Foundation successfully concluded the 3rd Residential Entrepreneurship Development Training Program under the #AwardToReward initiative, in collaboration with @NITIAayog’s Women EntrepreneurshipPlatform (WEP), bringing together 23 inspiring rural artisans and women entrepreneurs. From business planning, costing, bookkeeping via Mera Bills and profit & loss basics to branding essentials like logo and business card creation on design platforms, the training equipped women entrepreneurs with practical tools to grow. More importantly, it gave them space to reflect, build confidence and reconnect with their own potential. What once felt overwhelming now feels possible. Today, it feels proud to see these #WomenEntrepreneurs asking questions, speaking with assurance and stepping forward with greater trust in themselves and their entrepreneurial journeys. Because entrepreneurship is not only about building businesses, but also about nurturing confidence, clarity and collective empowerment!

The ‘Getting Started with AI’ bootcamp, conducted under the IBM SkillsBuild program by @IBM and Nasscom Foundation, recently engaged students in hands-on learning around Generative AI and its real-world applications. Students from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai shared what stood out most from their experience. Like many entering a new learning space, some arrived with concerns—about whether AI would be difficult to understand, or if they would be able to keep up with the pace of emerging technologies. But through guided exercises, practical demonstrations, and interactive discussions, those initial worries gradually shifted into curiosity and confidence. For many, the bootcamp became their first structured exposure to how AI tools actually work, and how these technologies could shape future career opportunities. Sometimes, the biggest takeaway from learning something new is realizing that it was never as intimidating as it first seemed. #IBMSkillsBuild #AIForStudents #DigitalSkilling #FutureReady #NasscomFoundation

Recognition for artisans goes beyond their craft—it reflects their identity and the value their work adds to India’s rich cultural heritage. At Nasscom Foundation, through our Women Entrepreneurship Programme, we work closely with artisan communities to understand their challenges, empower them, and create pathways for sustainable livelihoods. As part of this journey toward greater formalisation, entrepreneurs were also provided with professionally designed visiting cards embedded with QR codes. While simple in form, these visiting cards can make a meaningful difference. They help artisans build a professional identity, gain visibility, and connect more easily with customers, buyers, and other market players. By enabling smoother interactions and digital transactions, these tools allow artisans to participate more confidently in formal business ecosystems. Sometimes, empowerment begins with something simple—being seen, being recognised, and having the tools that open new possibilities. #ArtisansOfIndia #WomenEntrepreneurs #Livelihoods #SocialImpact #InclusiveGrowth
