We turned the Dutch elections into a moment of connection. Dutch citizens from across Chicagoland joined us to watch the results of the Lower House elections. For fun, we even held our own local “shadow election” poll 🗳️ — which reflected a result quite similar to the real one!

World Business Chicago and Brandon Johnson (Mayor of Chicago) brought together the consul corps in Chicago. Consul General Eric Strating, contributed from a Dutch perspective to a high-level discussion on how cities can address affordable housing and wage growth.

Japan's surrender on 15 August 1945 marked the official end of the Second World War for the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The scars remain, also in Asia. Today, we remember and honour the victims of this war from the former Dutch Indies - in the Netherlands and worldwide. 1/2
