The development emerged in a meeting held Monday at the NRM party headquarters in Nakasero, Kampala, where a group of legislators formally began the process of signing expressions of interest to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the Party.

More than 30 independent Members of Parliament have expressed interest in working with the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), signaling a move that could strengthen cooperation in Parliament.

The chapter today, Thursday, presented Mr Tebakor to the NRM Deputy Secretary General, Rt Hon. @RoseNamayanja, at the party secretariat at plot 10, Kyadondo Road, after heated internal elections, according to the chapter chairman.

“We did this by guaranteeing education access for all at primary and secondary schools levels i.e. UPE and USE. This was a fundamental empowerment of the girl child because when someone is educated, he/she cannot be suppressed. That was the real beginning of our reforms,” he said
