I'll say a horrible thing: in the end boykott has no sense. With lower ratings but ESC still happened, 🇮🇱 sent a competetive and succesful song while artists from 🇪🇸🇳🇱🇮🇪🇸🇮🇮🇸 lost their opportunities. 🇮🇱 won without winning. And I'm saying it as a person who want 🇮🇱 to be banned.

🇮🇪 News: RTÉ Director-General Kevin Bakhurst says there is “no reason at the moment” to reverse RTÉ’s decision to boycott the Eurovision Song Contest. Speaking on RTÉ Radio 1's Morning Ireland, Bakhurst said "For us as a public service broadcaster, who believes in the importance of protecting journalists and believes in human rights, there's no reason at the moment to change our decision." He did add that RTÉ will “review it in the coming months.” #Eurovision

This year's viewing figures for Eurovision will be catastrophic.
Not even in those boycotting countries where they've decided to not air ESC 2026 could make the YouTube live streams figures increase. And we talk about millions of people in 🇪🇸 & 🇮🇪 with only YouTube.
