Starting with our Risk-Takers: the cast of #EmiliaPerez dared to break new ground with their movie-musical about a drug lord. On the filming experience, #SelenaGomez shared, “the sisterhood ended up becoming what got us through.”

The Discovery, #MikeyMadison, radiated talent in the lead role of Anora as a Brooklynite sex-worker. Mikey underwent intensive training for the role, cementing her place as a rising star. She shared her thoughts on her newfound recognition: “it’s felt a bit surreal.”

Our Truth-Teller, #DemiMoore, provoked minds in the body-horror film #TheSubstance. She spoke about her vulnerability as Elizabeth Sparkle on screen: “any exposure of my own insecurities would be worth it if I was part of bringing forward the conversation.”

The Voice, #CynthiaErivo, shattered boundaries with her portrayal of Elphaba as a woman of color in the #Wicked movie. Reflecting on the part, she said, “it was a really wonderful experience to step into this role, outside of my own skin, and into someone else’s, who has also been ‘othered.’”

The Witness, #DanielleDeadwyler, harnessed her Georgia roots and rich history education at Spelman and Columbia to perform in #ThePianoLesson: “as someone who’s been reared in the South, I have to tell the full gamut of our stories.”

The Virtuosos from #TheRoomNextDoor, Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore, had a long-overdue collaboration in their Spanish drama directed by Pedro Almodóvar. Tilda shared, “we’ve just made up for lost time. Now we’re old friends, even though we’ve only been together for a year.”

The Explorer, #SaoirseRonan, marked new territory with her somber roles in #Blitz, a World War II drama, and #TheOutrun, a film about sobriety. “It really was a way for me to heal from my own wounds,” she told.
