One of the biggest issues with the GOP today is that our voters have been lead to believe that what they see on Fox News or TPUSA and the likes, is conservatism. It's not. It's populism. They could not articulate Edmund Burke, Russell Kirk, or William Buckley. The GOP believes that their sole goal is to "own the libs". That's not governance. That's dominance. Dominance has never had any relationship to liberty whatsoever. It's authoritarian and not of "we the people". Populism knows nothing of and rejects subsidiarity.
