@Maga4liberty Sheriff Judd is much funnier than this video, as is Sheriff Ivey in my county. But yeah, not enough Tylenol, haha!!

@StraightFlorida I jumped off the Sebastian Inlet Bridge, all 50' of it. Checked both sides for boats and jumped like a dumbass into the inlet. Swam toward the tidal pool, got stung by man-o-wars, pissed on it when I got to shore, and survived (obviously). I was Florida Man in Training! 💪

Hey @grok of the potential Republican candidates running for Governor of Florida, who is leading right now?

My daughter has reached the end of her dance competition season.
She didn’t place very high. She had first year solo comp nervousness and it showed. I sat her down and told her to watch the videos of herself performing. Look at what the judges said. Work on it and come back better next season.
She promised she would and then asked if we could get some All American burgers. I told her no. Burgers are for winners.
Kidding, kidding… we’re on our way there now.
Proud to be raising a winner who isn’t into participation trophies or mediocrity. She’s going to be okay.

I'm probably going to lose my "man card" for this one 🤦
This bee has been hanging around for the past two days.
My first instinct was to whack it with my hat and stomp on it as he came in hot looking like he wanted to sting me. As the day went on he kept coming back and just hovering right beside us.
He literally hung out with Ryder and I all day yesterday. This morning a better spot opened up at the campground about 500ft away so I figured that was the last that I saw of him. About 15min ago he's back just hovering in a non threatening way (vid in comments).
I think I'm starting to like this bee, or I might be losing my mind, or a little of both.

@Ducnghia16 Clever strategy = long legs, long strides. That's why she's the anchor.

@tuuu28283 My son has the thermostat in his house on "Heat/Cool" every day. He is so spoiled, he has to have his temperature range very controlled always, haha.

Situational awareness test.
You walk into this restaurant and get seated.
Which table and seat are you choosing — and why?
I’m looking for:
View of the entrance
View of the kitchen
Distance from bathrooms
Escape route
Back not exposed to the whole room
Most people pick a table.
People who pay attention pick a position.

I started wearing Western work wear - cause why not change at 48
But here is the real change:
1. I am more recognizable (as a self employed extrovert this is good)
2. I get approached in more random conversations
3. I am more memorable (the guy in the cowboy hat...)
4. I find people let their guard down faster in conversations.
5. It seems to build trust faster
6. I feel very comfortable in it
7. and my wife LOVES it... she just loves it
Win all around in my opinion. Wish I would have done it sooner.

Less than 5% in the world has my eye color. It's a gray-blue/green-changing eye color.
My eyes look gray indoors, blue in normal daylight, and green in bright sun.
I've been accused many times of wearing color contacts. I have never because I'm too chicken to even use eye drops without someone holding me down.

@GetOuttaHeah @HandyGingerGal I'm a U.S. citizen so I didn't vote for him, but I'm trying to draw some parallels. Politicians are very good at convincing people they are in it "for the people" when it's almost always a huge lie.
English

@HandyGingerGal I know, we all voted for whomever we did, but frankly *everyone of them* is corrupt. So you try to vote for the lesser evil, but how do you know? Or, most people just give up and vote for the party they feel like will get them the least crap from their friends. It sucks.

@UltraDane This is not Florida. This is a poor choice of places to stay.

@KimKatieUSA Yes, the cause was the car, but that truck going way too fast for an intersection, IMO. People are unpredictable, you are driving a 50,000 lb truck, and you are driving like a bat out of hell. You're not in a Ferrari.

Dramatic video from a Tesla camera shows the dangerous moment a second fire engine crashes while responding to an emergency.
A white SUV pulling forward caused the chain of events that ended with the truck slamming into a parked car and flipping into a building.
The footage captured at an intersection shows the ladder truck from Fire Station 74 successfully making its way through traffic. However, as the first truck passes, a white SUV on the right begins to move forward, cutting off critical space for the second engine following close behind.
The second fire engine tries to squeeze through the narrowing gap but loses control. It strikes a parked vehicle and violently overturns directly into the side of a building. Thankfully, early reports indicate no serious injuries to firefighters, but the truck sustained major damage.

That is how long my best friend, amazing wife, caring and loving mother has been SOBER! It has been special to see this journey you have taken from the first photo when you are in rehab to the last photo this past weekend. It has not been easy or smooth sailing to see the person you are now but you have taken everything you have learned at rehab, have used those skills, developed more skills, taken it one day at a time and now have grown and evolved into who you are 10 years later. The journey and path is never over for someone in recovery but I know you are stronger than ever and will be able to tackle any challenge that may arise in the future. The kids and I are so proud of you! Keep going! One day at a time! We love you! ❤️😘
To anyone who is struggling with addiction, let me say that life on the other side, the sober side…. is amazing and achievable. I’ve seen it first hand with my wife but also with my other friends. I’ve also been lucky enough to meet so many amazing people over the last 10 years that are living a life like my wife. Sober. Happy. Enjoying life. And also telling me that they could never imagine life could be like this when they were in the thralls of their addiction. Sobriety is possible. You have to want it. Your loved ones can only do so much. You first have to admit that you have a problem, an addiction, and you want to get sober. Once you do that, there are millions of people who are living a sober life that want to help other people live sober. You have to ask for help. Whether it be loved ones or someone in the sober community. I’ve been lucky to be part of this community with my wife and it’s an amazing, loving, caring community. There is no judgement. Everybody’s ego is checked at the door. All they want is to help one another on their path of sobriety.
Addiction doesn’t have to be a life sentence. You just have to want to be sober. Nobody can want it more than you. There are people out there wanting to help but you have to take the first step. Wishing everyone who is dealing with addiction that they find the path to sobriety. ❤️

@tuuu28283 Yes. Yup. "Yes" and "No" are the proper words. "Yup" or "Yep" and "Nope" are slang versions, with the same meaning. Because they are slang, they are used in more casual situations.
