My first kill was lowkey kinda bullshit. I was going from South Relay to Overflow and we met and the ledge. I had the high ground and saw them first so it was easy. I loot the guy and take his Hardliner, and immediately see someone else on top on the building in the columns.

Hooooooooooly shit this fucking run. I ate shit in my last run by accidentally attacking the wraith warden and I lost my Bully so I wanted to do a quick MIDA sponsored kit run and I ended up getting two kills solo and left with a full kit + my new Bully.

Earlier today I found (and exfiled!) my first purple item and it was such a cool feeling of just randomly stumbling across an actually rare item. The run felt so much more intense the instant I found it. Didn't even finish my contract because I just wanted to get my $4000.

As a (former) Destiny player, something about Marathon that I really like is that item rarity actually feels important and meaningful. Items at every rarity serve a purpose, and higher rarity stuff actually feels rare.
