A police cordon is currently in place in Mansfield while officers and partner agencies investigate a suspicious package. Carter Lane is currently closed between the junctions of Skerry Hill and Rock Hill. People are advised to avoid the area while officers are at the scene. 1/2

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in Mapperley. We were called to an address in Westdale Lane West at 10.07pm last night (21 October) following concerns for a person’s safety.

Emergency services were called to reports of a three-vehicle crash on Alfreton Road, Nottingham at 8.30am this morning. Alfreton Road (A610) and Bobbers Mill Bridge are closed between the junctions of Gregory Boulevard (A6130) and Aspley Lane (B690). (1/2).

The road was shut as officers responded, but it has since reopened as of 9.20am. It may take some time for traffic to clear. A man, aged in his 30s, and a woman, aged in her 60s, have been taken to hospital with serious injuries. Thank you for your patience. (2/2).

Emergency services were called to reports of a single-vehicle crash on the A1 in Nottinghamshire. Officers were called to the northbound carriageway between the B6326 (Balderton) and A46 (Newark) at around 3.40am this morning following a crash involving a car. (1/2)
