I have become the guy who posts about Korean stocks. My wife thinks I'm having an affair because I keep sneaking off to "check the KOSPI close" at 2am. I have a Naver Finance account. I follow 14 Korean tax accountants on X. I know what a chaebol holding company discount is and I will tell you about it unprompted at a dinner party. I own a preferred share of a steel company I cannot pronounce that pays a 9% dividend and trades at 0.3x book. The ticker is six numbers. Six. Numbers. My broker had to call me to confirm I wasn't being scammed. I was not being scammed. I was buying a 117-year-old company for less than the cash on its balance sheet. The Value-up program is going to make me whole or I am going to die on this hill speaking broken Korean to a Samsung Securities rep at 3am. There is no in-between.
