At the first OCTM Business Meeting, four officers were elected to lead the new council through its first year. President Ona Kraft from Cleveland; VP Mildred Kieffer from Cincinnati; Secretary James MacLearie from Cleveland; and Treasurer Howered Barcus from Columbus.

The First Annual OCTM Conference was held April 20-21, 1951, at The Ohio State University. The theme of the Friday session was "Audio Visual Aids in Teaching Mathematics," and the theme of Saturday was "Mathematics in Agriculture." https:bit.lyOCTMHistory
