Anyway. This will not be the last time we learn of someone treating Ukrainians' tragedy and courage as a lucrative opportunity. And this also won't be the last time we at the Kyiv Independent expose it. Cheers.

Even now the movement actively downplays risks, openly claiming pro-Ukrainian actions in occupied territory "are not subject to criminal prosecution even under Russian law, but can only entail administrative liability." Yes, you read that right. They rely on Russian law.

Ukrainians who participate in resistance in occupied territories are some of the bravest people that walk the earth. They deserve better than to be turned into a token that guarantees the flow of Western funding to people in Kyiv, Dubai, and London.
