Not only is palliative care misunderstood, it's often barely discussed and then only near the end. Glioblastoma patients should be told about it from DAY ONE. Part of our GBM Bill of Rights. #GBM #GBMRights
American Brain Tumor Association@theABTA

Palliative care is often misunderstood. But Dr. Akanksha Sharma, Director of Neuro Oncology at @SutterHealth, reframes it as essential at every stage of patient care. Watch the recorded session now of her ABTA 2025 National Conference session, “Thriving Through Care:” youtube.com/watch?v=nZYCwD… Sharma is also serving as a co-chair of the #ABTA 2026 National Conference. Join us Sept 18–20.. #ABTA26NC #BrainTumors #PalliativeCare #Support #Empower

A beautiful speech by Baroness Julie Elliott, speaking about my late sister Margaret and how she learned of her glioblastoma diagnosis. Thank you to @JulieExMP and @DrScottArthurMP for all your work introducing the Rare Cancers Bill, and congratulations on getting it this far.

Each time we talk about glioblastoma treatment, we say there's been little innovation in decades — unlike many other cancers. Bravo to @imvax_inc for their efforts to change that.

Newly diagnosed #glioblastoma often proves fatal within 12-15 months. After 20 years without a change to the standard of care, our Ph 2b study of IGV-001 shows potential to give patients more time and provides real hope to the ndGBM community. More here: bit.ly/4rxZlqs
