The cherry-picking grind never stops. Some 2023 Lincoln Cents are hitting the grading room with an extra “V” beside the V.D.B initials—making for a variety believed to come from a modified hub. In PCGS MS67RD, this one is valued at $800 per our Price Guide. Pleasant picking!👋

It’s Trime Time for Toner Tuesday. The Proof 1854 issue is one of the rarest among the entire Three Cent, or “Trime” series, with just 30 examples believed to exist. This PCGS PR64+ example pairs that rarity with remarkable eye appeal with gold and green hues.

This 1892 Liberty Head Nickel has two errors: a 40% off-center brockage, leaving an incuse mirror image of the reverse in the upper-left obverse, and a partial collar strike, caused by the planchet not being fully confined during striking. Despite the errors, it is PCGS VG10.

The 1942/1-D Mercury Dime is scarcer than its Philadelphia counterpart. Add in Full Bands, as seen in this PCGS MS62FB example, and you’ve got yourself one of the most sought-after varieties of the entire Mercury Dime series.
