OUR LOYALTY IS UNSHAKEABLE: LAGOS STATE PDP EXCO ELECT REAFFIRMS TOTAL ALLEGIANCE TO TURAKI-LED NWC LAGOS, NIGERIA - 31 January, 2026 - The newly elected Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), @OfficialPDPNig Lagos State Chapter, wishes to formally reaffirm, in no uncertain terms, its 100% unshakeable loyalty to the National Working Committee (NWC) under the principled leadership of Barrister Kabiru Turaki. As we transition into a new era of party discipline and strategic rebuilding, the Lagos State PDP Exco elect stands in total solidarity with the national leadership. We recognize the Turaki-led NWC as the sole legitimate authority steering our great party toward the restoration of its founding ideals and electoral dominance. Dismissal Of Baseless Claims On The 2025 Ibadan Convention The Lagos State PDP is aware of certain malicious reports circulating in the media regarding a purported court nullification of the Ibadan 2025 National Elective Convention. We wish to clarify the following for our members and the general public: Legitimacy of Mandate: The 2025 Ibadan Convention was conducted in strict adherence to the PDP Constitution and remains a historic milestone that birthed the current national leadership. Propaganda vs. Reality: The rumors of a "court dismissal" are nothing more than a desperate attempt by detractors to create an atmosphere of instability. We urge party faithful to ignore these "phantom rulings" and remain focused on the task of party unification. Judicial Resilience: Our legal team remains vigilant. We are confident that the democratic will of the 2,745 accredited delegates who participated in the Ibadan convention cannot be subverted by back door litigation. A New Chapter For Lagos PDP The Lagos State Exco elect is committed to the "Turaki Roadmap," which prioritizes grassroots mobilization, internal democracy, and a robust opposition stance. We are currently focused on reconciling all aggrieved interests within Lagos to ensure a formidable front ahead of the upcoming electoral cycles. "Our mandate is sacred, and our alignment with the National Chairman, Kabiru Turaki, is non-negotiable. We will not be distracted by the antics of those who seek to profit from internal discord." We call on all genuine lovers of the PDP in Lagos and across the federation to remain steadfast. The party is bigger than any individual, and under the current NWC, the PDP is indeed being "returned to the people." Signed: Prince Dr. Christopher O. Odianarewo Dis.FCILMMD, MNIIA Lagos State PDP Publicity Secretary Elect

30th January 2026 Press Statement Position of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the Judgment of the Federal High Court, Holden in Ibadan, Oyo State. The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) @OfficialPDPNig has been made aware of the judgment of the Federal High Court, Ibadan, regarding the National Convention of our great Party held on November 15 and 16, 2025 in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital. The BoT notes that the judgment is technically of no effect and at best, academic as the central and fundamental issues in the matter are already before the Court of Appeal. It is however a matter of concern that the court, in declining the order of mandamus sought by our party on the ground that such would amount to sitting on appeal over the judgments of courts of coordinate jurisdiction, went beyond the boundaries to grant reliefs that were not prayed by any of the parties in the case. In any case, the BoT notes that our party has already filed an appeal and a Motion for Stay of Execution. This puts the judgment of the Federal High Court, Ibadan in abeyance and retains the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee which was duly elected at the Ibadan Convention legally and firmly on the saddle. The BoT as the conscience and second highest Organ of the party assures all members of the PDP, our teeming supporters and indeed the general public that the Turaki-led NWC is securely in place and there is no cause for alarm. The Board reaffirms its commitment and support for the Turaki-led NWC in its efforts to stabilize and strengthen the party on the path of victory ahead of the 2027 general elections. Signed: H.E Senator Adolphus Wabara, Ph.D Chairman, Board of Trustees, PDP.

I unveiled the Bauchi @ 50 anniversary logo today at the Government House in Bauchi, marking the formal commencement of activities to celebrate the state’s 50th anniversary. This unveiling precedes a rich lineup of events scheduled across the state, including cultural programmes, traditional festivities, and the iconic Durbar, among other commemorative activities. As I noted at the event, the golden jubilee represents a significant milestone in the history of Bauchi State. It is a moment that calls for reflection and renewal, and one that underscores our collective responsibility to the present and the future. I therefore urge all citizens to reaffirm their commitment to unity, peace, and development, as we work together to build a stronger, more prosperous Bauchi State for generations to come. #GreaterBauchi

Being the text of a Press Conference by the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), @OfficialPDPNig Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, on the judgment of the Federal High Court, Ibadan Gentlemen of the press, We are aware of the judgment of the Federal High Court, Ibadan, delivered earlier today, which essentially declined to grant the order of mandamus sought, on the ground that granting same would, in the considered opinion of the court, amount to sitting on appeal over the judgments of courts of coordinate jurisdiction. For clarity, we approached the court seeking an order of mandamus to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognise the Ibadan Convention and to facilitate official party communications with the Commission. In the course of the proceedings, some former members of our party, who had earlier been expelled, applied to be joined and were so joined by the court. They filed processes urging the court not to grant our prayers, without more. However, and most respectfully, the court proceeded suo motu to grant reliefs that were neither prayed for nor canvassed by any of the parties. More importantly, the judgment is in material conflict with subsisting orders and previous judgments of courts of coordinate jurisdiction. Consequently, we have filed a Notice of Appeal as well as a Motion for Stay of Execution of the judgement, and we are determined to pursue this matter diligently and to its logical conclusion in accordance with the law. For the avoidance of doubt, this judgment is only one among several decisions of the Federal High Court on this subject matter, and the core issues arising therefrom are already before the Court of Appeal. In that sense, this particular judgment is, technically speaking, academic, pending the authoritative pronouncement of the appellate courts. Let me assure all members of our great party that, notwithstanding this judgment, the National Working Committee produced by the Ibadan Convention remains legally intact, firmly in place, and fully committed to the ongoing rebirth of the Peoples Democratic Party. I therefore urge our members and supporters across the country to remain calm and resolute. There is absolutely no cause for alarm. The REBIRTH movement is steadily on course. This judgment represents nothing more than the navigation of one of the judicial bends along our journey. The destination remains clear, and as history has consistently shown, it is the final outcome that ultimately matters. Thank you, gentlemen of the press.

PRESS STATEMENT BY THE FORUM OF PDP STATE CHAIRMEN IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN AND THE NATIONAL WORKING COMMITTEE The Forum of State Chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), @OfficialPDPNig comprising the Chairmen of the Party in 30 States of the Federation, has carefully reviewed the judgment delivered today by the Federal High Court, Ibadan, as well as the official position of our great Party as articulated by the National Chairman, His Excellency, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN. We wish to unequivocally express our total solidarity and unflinching support for the National Chairman and the entire National Working Committee (NWC) as constituted by the Ibadan National Convention. The Forum notes with concern that the judgment in question declined the relief of mandamus sought by the Party, while proceeding to grant reliefs that were neither prayed for nor canvassed by any of the parties before the court. We further note that the said judgment stands in material conflict with subsisting judgments and orders of courts of coordinate jurisdiction on the same subject matter. It is therefore reassuring that the Party has already exercised its constitutional right of appeal and filed the appropriate motions for stay of execution, in line with established legal principles and democratic norms. We align fully with the position of the National Working Committee under the leadership of Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN) that this judgment represents only one step in an ongoing judicial process, especially as the substantive issues are already before the Court of Appeal for determination. For the avoidance of doubt, the Forum of PDP State Chairmen affirms that the National Working Committee produced by the Ibadan Convention remains the lawful, recognised, and operational leadership of our Party, and continues to enjoy the confidence and loyalty of PDP structures across the 30 states of the Federation. We urge all party members, supporters, and stakeholders nationwide to remain calm, focused, and united. There is no vacuum in the leadership of our Party, and there is absolutely no cause for panic. The PDP has weathered difficult moments in the past and has always emerged stronger. This moment is no exception. What we are witnessing is merely one of the judicial turns in our democratic journey — not the destination itself. The Forum remains fully committed to the REBIRTH and rebuilding of the Peoples Democratic Party, and we reaffirm our collective resolve to strengthen party unity, deepen internal democracy, and reposition the PDP as the credible alternative capable of rescuing Nigeria. As we have always known, facts may be distorted, but truth is constant- and it will surely prevail. We stand firmly with the National Chairman, the National Working Committee, and the millions of Nigerians who continue to believe in the ideals of our great Party. Long live the Peoples Democratic Party. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Signed: Hon. Tony Aziegbemi* Chairman, Forum of PDP State Chairmen & Chairman, PDP Edo State Chapter Chief Edward Masha Forum Secretary & Chairman of Kaduna State On behalf of 30 PDP State Chairmen

PDP Is Alive and Strong — Former President Jonathan Former President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, @GEJonathan has expressed satisfaction that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) @OfficialPDPNig remains alive, strong, and resilient, contrary to speculations in some sections of the media. Dr. Jonathan reaffirmed that the PDP remains a fundamental pillar of Nigeria’s democracy, noting that it is the only surviving original political party since 1998. The former President made this remark while receiving members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, led by the National Chairman, Dr. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, during a high-level consultative meeting held at his private office in Abuja on Tuesday evening, January 6, 2026. The meeting focused on the party’s reconciliation process and strategic repositioning ahead of the 2027 general elections. Dr. Jonathan noted that the PDP possesses the historical resilience and institutional strength required to overcome its current internal challenges, describing the party as more than a political platform but a national institution. “The PDP, being the only surviving original political party since 1998, has been a critical contributor to our democracy since 1999. I have been a beneficiary of this party, which gave me the opportunity to serve as Deputy Governor, Governor, Vice President, and President. I am grateful to the party and will continue to contribute my quota because I feel deeply indebted to it,” he said. He urged the party’s leadership to place national interest and institutional development above personal considerations, stressing that strong political parties are essential for democratic stability. Earlier in his remarks, Dr. Turaki thanked the former President for his fatherly counsel and unwavering loyalty to the PDP. He assured him that the current leadership is committed to a comprehensive “Rebirth Agenda” aimed at rebuilding and strengthening the party. “We came to seek your guidance and to brief you on the prospects and challenges before the party. Our goal is to return power to the people and reposition the PDP as the party of the majority of Nigerians. We are reaching out to aggrieved members because a united PDP remains the most viable platform for a balanced and prosperous Nigeria,” Dr. Turaki stated. Members of the delegation included H.E. Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, Prof. Jerry Gana, Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi, Hajiya Zainab Maina, Chief Mike Oghiadome, Mohammed Bello Adoke, SAN, and other members of the National Working Committee.

PRESS STATEMENT TAX ACT START DATE: MONEY, NOT NIGERIANS, TINUBU’S PRIORITY. The Peoples Democratic Party @OfficialPDPNig reiterates its earlier call for the suspension of the commencment date of the Tax Act, based on the discrepancies between the harmonised and gazetted versions of the new Tax Act. Nigerians across all walks of life have loudly voiced their displeasure over the smuggling in of very dangerous provisions which were expunged earlier by the Parliament. Nigerians have demanded a thorough investigation of this anomaly and sought to know who carried out the illegal insertion and how it was done. Rather than address these issues comprehensively, the Presidency has consciously minimised them and instead vehemently insisted that the commencement date must stand, despite the discrepancies. This disposition clearly shows where the priority of the government lies-between Nigerians and money. This @officialABAT Presidency has always prioritised finance over the welfare and well-being of Nigerians from its inception in 2023, as evidenced by the reckless way it announced and implemented the removal of subsidy, which immediately impacted the economy of the country and caused ordinary Nigerians to suffer irreparable economic damage. In this instance, the President should remember that he is an employee of the people and, therefore, should listen to his employers. He should also remember that he won with less than 40% of the votes in the elections that gave him the job, and should therefore recognise that listening to Nigerians must be a primary duty of his administration, rather than serving the narrow interests of people around him. Mr President is reminded that a responsible PDP administration in 2012 listened to the cries of Nigerians and civil society organisations (where he played a prominent role during the protests) against the removal of fuel subsidy, in deference to the voices of Nigerians. The interest of Nigerians must be uppermost in the mind of the President and the Federal Government. Consequently, we reiterate our earlier call for the suspension of the commencement date of the Tax Act, pending the conclusion of a thorough investigation. Obedience to laws in a democracy is directly linked to the belief that elected legislators have deliberated upon and approved them. A mere suspicion, let alone a confirmed fact, that unapproved sections have been smuggled into a law with the capacity to affect all Nigerians is sufficient reason to suspend its commencement. The President must act in favour of the people of this country; to do otherwise is a clear confirmation that money, not the people, is the priority. May the Spirit of Christmas Bring Hope and Renewal As Nigerians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the entire political organs and administrative structure of the Peoples Democratic Party send our warmest felicitations to our Christian members and the larger body of Christ in Nigeria. This season reminds us of the enduring values that Jesus embodied-love, sacrifice, humility, and generous provision for others. These are not merely seasonal virtues but timeless principles that if embraced in our national life, can transform our country and usher in economic prosperity. As we celebrate together, we assure you of our renewed commitment to championing these same values in our politics, believing they hold the key to attainment of the Nigeria of our collective dreams. In the joyful spirit of this season, we are reminded that even in challenging times, determined people have not only survived, but have emerged stronger and found beauty in ashes. May this Christmas fill your hearts with joy, your homes with peace, and your spirit with renewed optimism for the brighter days ahead. We wish everyone a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year filled with God's abundant blessings. Signed: Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN National Chairman Peoples Democratic Party 25th December, 2025

News Release “It’s Time for Peace and Reconciliation”:- PDP BOT, Leadership The Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) @OfficialPDPNig has decisively declared that the party has entered its "New Era of Unity". In a move designed to consolidate and reinvigorate the party base, the Board of Trustees-the party's conscience, resolved that the period of internal discord is over. Speaking at the meeting, the BOT Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara emphasized the urgency of the moment and charged other party members and supporters to work with the new NWC to ensure unity and stability. "First, let me congratulate the PDP for the successful conduct of the National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State. The Convention is a clear demonstration of our Party’s enduring commitment to internal democracy and transparency” Senator Wabara, on behalf of the Board of Trustees (BoT), declared their unalloyed support for the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee (NWC). He said “We declare our full support for the Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee. From the early days of their tenure, it appears that our party is being repositioned, structures are being strengthened, and confidence is being restored across the federation. These are giant strides that give hope not just to Party members, but to millions of Nigerians who look to the PDP as a credible alternative to the current state of affairs” However, as the party celebrates the successes gained by the newly elected NWC, the BOT calls for unity and reconciliation, saying “…as we celebrate progress, we must also embrace unity. This is the moment that calls for reconciliation and healing”. Senator Wabara declared. In his reaction, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, on behalf of the newly elected National Working Committee (NWC), thanked the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and other members of the Board for their support, and for participating in the November 15, 16, 2025 National Convention of the Party in Ibadan, Oyo State. “We have had a lot of ups and downs. We fought ourselves and we fought each other. Other people fought us from within and from without. Now, it is time for peace. And one of the cardinal principles that we intend to pursue in our leadership is the issue of reconciliation”- Turaki declared. The PDP leader urged all members, support groups, and stakeholders to embrace this new directive and work collaboratively toward the stability and progress of the party. “We believe that there is no dispute, no disagreement, and no misunderstanding, that is irreconcilable, provided there is a common objective and common will”- He stated. The meeting was attended by prominent members of the Party who are members of the BOT, including the former Minister of Information, Professor Jerry Gana, former Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Ahmed Muhammed Makarfi, former Governor of Enugu State, Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo, among others. PRESIDENT TINUBU’S ABSENCE AT ECOWAS HEADS OF GOVERNMENT MEETING     The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) held its 68th Ordinary Heads of States and Government Meeting in Abuja to discuss burning issues (especially insecurity and political instability) affecting member states. Presidents of member states travelled into Nigeria to attend the meeting due to the importance of the issues on the agenda, but the host, President Tinubu, was represented by Vice President Shettima. While the President is at liberty to send a representative, if he is indisposed, subsequent attendance at a political event the next day creates a perception of less premium paid to regional stability, which is in opposition to our foreign policy. Acts like this may contribute to the scant regard our country has earned under his administration, in the eyes of other countries, who respected and revered us previously.       CONCLUSION   We call on the Tinubu/APC-led federal government to prioritise governance over politics. It should intensify investment in critical infrastructure in the areas of security, education, roads, and health care across the country, instead of funding and empowering political structures in preparation for 2027 elections using Renewed Hope Ambassadors. The stakes are too high for business as usual. Our legislative integrity, international standing, and regional leadership are not partisan issues, they are national imperatives. Nigerians deserve solutions, not excuses. Our contemporary challenges demand evidence-based policies, transparent governance, and collaborative problem-solving. The time for action is now. When institutions fail, democracy suffers. When leadership falters, the nation pays the price.   Signed:     Comrade Ini Ememobong, mnipr National Publicity Secretary   Peoples Democratic Party   18122025

Press Statement APC/Tinubu Administration: The Normalisation of Absurdity     It is common knowledge that since the beginning of this @OfficialAPCNg / @officialABAT -led administration, things that were previously considered absurd have become normal and are unabating. Particularly, in the last week, Nigerians have witnessed what seems to be an unending series of absurdities, which this statement will list a few:     DISPARITY BETWEEN THE ENACTED COPY AND GAZETTED COPY OF THE TAX LAW   A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdussamad Dasuki, drew public attention to the disparity between the version of the Tax Act enacted by the parliament and the gazetted copy. This disparity must be comprehensively investigated and not treated with the customary levity that this administration has shown toward very serious issues of governance. Nigerians are interested in knowing how the insertions and substitutions got into the gazetted copy.     The leadership of the House of Representatives must not attempt to sweep it under the carpet, as it has done with the now popular rumour that the country is operating two budgets within a fiscal year. This criminal act of inserting unenacted sections in laws can erode public trust in the enactments of parliament. Nigerians need assurance that the laws they obey are valid laws enacted by their elected representatives, not laws with insertions that are strange to the lawmakers. We commend our member, Hon. Dasuki, for his fastidiousness and courage in the discharge of his legislative duties. Consequently, we demand that the commencement date of the tax Act be shifted from January 1, 2026, for at least six months to allow sufficient time for the investigation of this anomaly, publication and circulation of the enacted version, and more importantly, the mounting of sufficient enlightenment campaigns on the new Act.       REDUCED REGIONAL AND GLOBAL INFLUENCE DUE TO POOR LEADERSHIP   Under the APC-led federal government, Nigeria’s respect and global standing have progressively declined to the point where our Air Force aircraft and personnel were detained for many days in Burkina Faso, until a team led by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar visited the country to negotiate their release, despite the initial denial by the Federal Government. To make matters worse, the White House has released a statement notifying that the United States of America has implemented a new regime of stronger visa restrictions on Nigerians. These restrictions, which affect both immigrant and non-immigrant visas, are based on the rising insecurity in the entire country and the inability of the government to effectively counter the situation, especially in Northern Nigeria. This is the lowest that we have gone as a country due to poor leadership, even during military rule, such harsh treatment was not meted on Nigeria and Nigerians.   This is a sad commentary on the current leadership of our country, who have paid more attention to politics than governance. Rather than comprehensively tackle core security issues, the administration prefers to apply simplistic and tangential solutions and politicise security matters, like the recent uproar about the absurd attempt at promoting the President’s Aide-De-Camp and other presidential security aides. Under this administration, it is an undeniable fact that Nigeria’s military capacity has consistently reduced, as shown in the Global Firepower report 2024, where Nigeria dropped to 39th from its earlier 36th position in 2023.

Speaking to Party members and supporters at the party's state Secretariat shortly after returning from a visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Chairman Turaki affirmed that the PDP is on a definitive path to reclaim its dominant political position, starting with upcoming elections in Ekiti and Osun States in 2026. Turaki highlighted the widespread grassroots mobilization and renewed unity within the party as the driving forces behind the expected electoral success. “Let me assure all our members and the good people of the South-West: We will win Ekiti, we will win Osun, and we are not stopping there. By the special grace of God and the unwavering support of our people, we will take over Ogun State,” Turaki stated emphatically. He thanked the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, for his invaluable counsel during their meeting, which he noted has further energized the party leadership and reinforced its strategic focus on reclaiming power. The National Chairman stressed that the PDP’s vision for the South-West is centered on responsible governance, economic revival, and the delivery of democratic dividends to the populace, which he believes the ruling party has failed to provide. “Nigerians are tired of the current trajectory and are ready to return to the PDP," Turaki added. He reiterated the party's commitment to ensuring internal democracy is fully restored to the party in order to provide Nigerians a credible, formidable alternative to the ruling party in all future elections.
