Whether you like the Waddle trade or not, the whole 'timeline' thing rings hollow to me. The man is 27, with three years left on his contract. 'Not on timeline' makes it sound like a 6 year rebuild, which it's not. I'm fine with the trade, but this is believing 1 and 3 and better 4 - in their eyes - are better than Waddle.

@desena_tyler Waddle is a good player but has a game built on speed/quickness and is already fragile in the prime of his career. Dolphins won't be competing in 2026 so you have to think by the time they are really good again, where is Waddle going to be at? Sell high and embrace the rebuild

@Brittbabi @JohnnyUtah305 Well yeah but how many times did he make a typical catch and come up limping? He’s a really good player but not a star WR1 without Hill on the other side. It’s a great deal for the Dolphins for what they are trying to do. They’ll be better off for in longer term
