Who is The Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA)? We are a coalition of over 2,000 organizations from 54 African nations! We aim to address climate and environmental challenges through a people-centered, rights-based approach.
From grassroots movements to policy & advocacy, PACJA brings together communities including smallholder farmers, indigenous peoples, pastoralists, and women on the frontlines of the climate crisis.
Currently, PACJA is implementing a variety of projects that traverse direct programming, policy and advocacy, sub-granting and capacity building, mainly focusing on the most vulnerable groups which are “unreachable” in traditional development paradigms lead and co-lead key projects like African Activists on Climate Justice (AACJ),@aacjinaction Galvanizing and Unifying Africa's Action for Resilient Development ( GUARD AFRICA), Strengthening Civil Society for a Just and Sustainable Urbanization (SCEJU) and initiatives such as The Nairobi Summer School on Climate Justice (NSSCJ). @Summer_School1 , African Climate Change, Environmental Report Awards (ACCER) Tutegrated African Coalition for Sustainable Energy and Access @acsea_54 @cjifa_ pacja.org/initiatives/
