Did a quick search of the Medicaid database. The top biller of adolescent orthodontic treatment is Rock Dental in Arkansas. Thankfully Texas doesn’t cover orthodontic treatment on Medicaid.

So, how much does it actually cost to buildout a dental office? Here are some numbers from a buildout we did in 2021. Keep in mind that costs have risen a good bit since then. 4,000 sq ft, 13 ops, 7 chairs installed. $346,000 General contractor (gut demo, plumbing, walls, LVP flooring, painting, plumbed nitrous) $210,000 equipment (pan/ceph, 7 chairs, nitrous equipment, autoclaves) $20,000 signs (double since we have stand alone building and 2 signs) $30,000 IT buildout (computers, 2 TVs per op, cabling, sound system, servers) $20,000 Initial supply order (handpieces, instruments) $80,000 miscellaneous and working capital $700,000 final loan Questions?

@paum Cabinets are a major expense and included in the general contractor line item there. We use minimal cabinetry in our ops which saves on cost. Furniture is in miscellaneous. Kinda crazy, but not that major an expense compare to some of the other items.
