I’m just watching Great Canal Journeys with Tim & Pru. It’s sad they’re no longer with us. They remind me so much of my parents when they were on the canals. In this episode they’re on the Llangollen stretch and go across wonderful Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.❤️

Good morning! 🌅 folk have asked about the Llangollen Motor Museum. If you’re up by the coffee shop and start walking towards the ChainBridge hotel, you will see the museum on your left. Don’t expect polished floors, it’s old-worldly and like someone’s old barn. I really like it.

@PaulMathUn When I went to school, many decades ago, every Friday morning we had to recite our times tables from start to finish. That was in infants school not primary. I have never forgotten them.

@wru4me Absolutely. 👍 Not knowing them holds back so many teens. Trendy systems of teaching have come and gone, but I’ve always said that this should be a definite activity in every school. All kids should leave primary with top number skills and good reading skills, there’s no excuses!

👏 Too many of our kids are leaving primary with little knowledge of times tables, which is so vital when learning more advanced stuff later on.
