>@SemiconIndia has registered a very big win! Tata Electronics’ MoU with ASML - the global monopoly IP owner of EUV lithography - in the presence of PM @narendramodi is far more than a supply deal. It brings advanced process technology, human capital development, R&D collaboration, and ecosystem commitments to @TataElectronics’s 300mm fab in Dholera. This is an inflection point: it will help shift India from chip design and assembly efforts toward genuine advanced node manufacturing capability. Such advanced manufacturing is critical for strategic autonomy in defence, electric vehicles, telecom, and AI hardware - most crucially, bringing this capability to India helps build a resilient supply chain in a fracturing world. That would in fact be the driving interest of many countries, because India has proved itself to be a trusted and reliable partner!

Tweet 1/7 China wasted $100 BILLION trying to steal this tech. Failed completely. India got it in ONE MoU — signed while TWO Prime Ministers watched. This ASML-Tata deal is the biggest game-changer of the week for Bharat. Why it’s historic 👇 Thread 🧵🇮🇳

An Indian W that didn’t get the eyeballs it deserved today is the Netherlands agreeing to share their expertise in water management at Afsluitdijk for India’s Kalpasar Project. What’s Afsluitdijk? The Netherlands kept getting flooded because seawater from the North Sea entered deep into the country. The 32-km-long dam and sea barrier called the Afsluitdijk solved this by acting as a giant wall across the sea (red line in image 1), blocking seawater and turning the area into a controlled freshwater lake. India is planning something similar with the Kalpasar Project. Gujarat faces water shortages, uneven rainfall, and large amounts of river water flowing into the sea without being stored. The project aims to solve this by building a giant barrier across the Gulf of Khambhat (red line in image 2) to store freshwater, improve irrigation, and supply water to cities and industries. The signing of the Letter of Intent between India and the Netherlands for technical cooperation on the Kalpasar Project could finally bring this project, pending since the 1970s/80s, to life.

Lol complete rubbish👇. 🇮🇳 CAD is just around 1% & forex reserves are around $700 billion. Unlike 2008 when Oil & Gas imports at there peak were 14% of GDP today they are just 2.8%. In fact 🇮🇳now runs a structural trade surplus excluding for Gold. Stay away from these doomsayers.

➡️ Adani Group has announced plans to invest ₹50,000–60,000 crore in Bihar over the next 3–4 years in infrastructure and allied sectors. The big question now: does this include only the already announced projects — like the ₹29,000 crore Pirpainti Power Plant and ₹8,000 crore Bhagalpur–Munger Ganga Path — or are new mega projects also on the table? 🤔 Bihar currently has several large projects awaiting funding and private participation: 🛣️ PPP Road Projects • Bidupur–Dighwara Northern Ganga Path (56 km) • Darihara (Konhua)–Dumaria Ghat 4-Lane Greenfield Corridor (73.51 km) • Buxar–Ara–Maner Ganga Path (90 km) 💰 Potential to attract ₹32,500 crore private investment 🚇 Proposed Metro Rail Projects • Muzaffarpur • Gaya • Darbhanga • Bhagalpur 🏙️ Greenfield city projects in 11 cities ✈️ Proposed Greenfield Airports • Bhagalpur • Sonepur 🛣️ Multiple expressway projects are also awaiting central funding, many likely to be implemented under HAM mode. 📦 Patna MMLP project is another major opportunity. If even a portion of these projects gets private backing, Bihar could witness its biggest infra transformation phase in decades.

India says it wants to become a deep-tech and manufacturing power. It has IITs, startups, research grants, and now even a ₹1 lakh crore innovation fund. So why do so few Indian technologies become real products? 🧵

The friendship between India and the Netherlands is in full bloom, asunderscored by the visit of Prime Minister @narendramodi to the Netherlands. We’re now taking that bond to an even higher level as we enter into a Strategic Partnership with one another.

This partnership is already bearing fruit. Multiple letters of intent have been or are being signed this weekend in such areas as defence cooperation, the development of major new technologies and innovations, healthcare and water management. ASML and Tata Electronics have also signed a letter of intent in a key step towards deeper cooperation in the semiconductor industry.
This builds on the major, historic trade agreement concluded between India and the EU earlier this year. In short, we’re making tremendous strides in our cooperation, creating a true win-win situation.   🇳🇱🤝🇮🇳

This deal is going to play a very big role in development of 🇮🇳 semiconductor sector. TATA long term vision isn't limited to just 1 fab & 28nm chips at Dholera. They plan to build 2 more fabs alongwith movibg to higher end chips like 14nm. This deal will play vital role in that.
