People forget Xavi, Iniesta & Fabregas dominated an old men’s position as soon as they debuted and discredit their longevity because they didn’t want to play until their late 30’s like Modric & co. Their longevity is still the most underrated aspect of their game.

@Pedrisque Xavi from 1998-2007 (10 seasons) didn’t get into Ballon d’Or top 25 nor did he get into FIFA best top 25 for 10 seasons. He also didn’t make any Fifpro or UEFA TOTY througout that 10 seasons. That proves he was very average before tiki taka.

Everyone is miscontrsuing me saying the league should be valued with we should drop the UCL. I clarified I understand the players because they are young and hungry. But just expressed my view that the league is a title worth valuing. And shouldn’t take it as a given.

@Pedrisque Nope the system didn’t depend on Xavi heavily. The system depended on small space passing .We saw Xavi Pre that system. He was very average There is nothing Xavi did in football that Zidane didn’t do x5. Zidane was a way better equipped footballer than Xavi ever was.

@ymxljf @tichyburner Xavi was a far better orchestrator than zidane with his mid passing, the system itself depended on xavi heavily. He could control the tempo of the entire game without breaking a sweat. It's obvious you didn't watch xavi 08/09 He did things zidane could only dream of

He could orchestrate attack and build up litterally from nothing Xavi on the other hand depended on systematic approach to control a game. It’s obvious you clearly didn’t watch Zidane 96/97 He did things Xavi could only dream of
