@BindiIsbister @WANTFA_farming Such a good day Bindi. Well organised ! Great crew of farmers. So good to see WANTFA at the front and centre at a time when conservation tillage agriculture needs as much support as it ever has! ….contrary to popular belief.

“All layers are players - look for soil opportunities not constraints” my fav line from @PitCritic at the @WANTFA_farming wheel track demo day at Frankland last week where we also looked at soil mixing/ripping. A colourful array of soil types.

@eyres_N @GRDCWest Nick…the issue now resides not in your data or analysis…but in the level of acceptance. A brick wall fall for some. We certainly will be using the data as a rangefinder for “crop mopping” N performance. Thanks and good luck punching it through the firewall at GRDC updates.

Predicted annual yields over three years of wheat in Yuna, WA after a single brown manure legume crop (vetch). 75kg/ha sowing rate supports high N responses 150kg/ha sowing rate no significant N response Looking forward to presenting the data at @GRDCWest updates next month

Yield data for 2025. N in ameliorated soil needs lots more work to understand response curves. -underestimating early N losses costs money -increasing early N capture can reduce N responsiveness -driving NUE can increase ROI on nitrogen spend from $3 to $13 @GRDCWest

Be sensible and plan better this summer. Don't run in with your shiny new Deep Ripper without some solid thought towards your soil types, fuel usage and possible damage. #jfg #deeperisbetter Left, EM map. Right, Gamma radiometric map.

UNFS Expo is THIS THURSDAY in Melrose. It’s not only for AgTech enthusiasts or grain growers. It’s for every farmer who wants fresh ideas, smarter tools, and hot donuts + a good chat with other local farmers. Ed Scott, our facilitator for the day explains why YOU should be there.

@azam_gaus Gaus….the work you are doing in this space is incredibly valuable ! Many see the cost of the research as a per/ Ha assessment. It’s not. It’s quite rightly all about the fundamentals of understanding soils to then to engineer cost effective ways of making the changes necessary.

I never had a doubt that the reengineering soil will be adoptable at large scare🙏🏿🙏🏿👌Some people think we are repeating the old stuff😹they at least should acknowledge this is different and bold way of doing things. If done correctly- it will work every time ✔️

Great demo by Jordy Kitschke of @flux_robotics at the @NorthernSoils meeting today at Mundoora. “Taking the tank out of the paddock” was a great comment by Jordy, demonstrating the chipping/ripping/wiping capability of his prototype. @WeedSmartAU
