@AndyKirchmayer @TheAthleticFC I agree with needing to add a new CB. I also think last night Gerard Martin and especially Eric Garcia were really, really good. The backline is normally made a scapegoat because of how much goals Barça concede, but (in general) it is hardly down to them individually.

@polballus @TheAthleticFC The team wasn’t good enough to win the UCL. You normally need a world class CB and a world class striker to pull that off. What’s concerning is our poor form against big clubs. And conceding way too many goals.

Robert Lewandowski’s shoulder giving Barça a huge boost in the title race. But this is another game that vindicates Joao Cancelo’s loan deal. Barça would be in a worse place without him this season.

Spain’s Lamine Yamal says those who sang anti-Muslim chants during his side’s home friendly against Egypt are “ignorant and racist”. Sections of the crowd at Espanyol’s RCDE Stadium in Catalonia on Tuesday were seen jumping and heard singing: “bote, bote, bote musulman el que no bote”, which translates to “jump, jump, jump, whoever doesn’t jump is a Muslim”. @adamdnathan Been to quite a few football games and stadiums in my life. Seeing 90% of the crowd in there, not just a section in the stands, singing and jumping at that was a first time for me.
