I’ve just met, chatted with, and given some money to a homeless veteran called Drew, sitting outside St James’s Park tube station. Let that sink in. A man who served his country, left to sleep rough on the streets of our capital. This is Sadiq Khan’s London. It is a national disgrace that we have homeless veterans on our streets — and frankly, there should not be one single homeless veteran anywhere in this country, let alone in London. We need change. 
We need backbone. 
We need leadership that puts those who served first. We need Laila Cunningham and we need Reform UK. Enough talk. Enough excuses. 
Our veterans deserve better — and I will never stop saying it. 🇬🇧💔
