Agreements need to always protect athletes. Advice I always give players is to never sign an agreement where there is a timeline for the contract. Most of the time, agencies will try and lock you in for a set time period and will give you no ability to terminate. Agreements should never be one-sided. When an agent/representative is not fulfilling their duty to their athlete, the athlete should be able to terminate. Seen way to many one-sided termination traps its disturbing.
