@morgfair I get one and only one in the mail. If I decide to vote in person, I take the ballot with me and they destroy it as a "spoiled ballot" and give me an in-person ballot designed to be fed into the ballot counter. Everything is above board.

Funny… I’ve lived in California since 1977, and I have NEVER received more than one ballot. Any other Californians out there? More than one ballot??
