May is skin cancer awareness month, which reminds us that getting checked for skin cancer symptoms early and often is critical for our health. When found early, most skin cancers can be treated successfully. Unfortunately, more than 50% of U.S. adults are not up to date or are unsure if they are up to date on their skin cancer check. If you need help remembering how to check, Patti, my wife, wrote a helpful reminder using the ABCDEs of skin cancer. Make an appointment with your health care provider or dermatologist today if you notice any changes in size, shape, or elevation of a mole, or any new symptoms such as bleeding, itching, or crusting. Air fresheners and some candles can emit trace levels of chemicals that are linked to an increased risk of cancer. But, when used responsibly, these products will have little to no impact on your health. 🧵2/3
