Keir Starmer isn’t leading, he’s dithering. Nine months in and still no defence investment plan. At a time of global insecurity, Britain needs decisions not delay. Our allies in the gulf expected leadership, instead they got Keir Starmer.

Keir Starmer has disappointed our allies in the Middle East during this conflict. The Labour Government’s lack of substance in defending our allies and protecting British assets has been deafening.

Even Keir Starmer doesn’t know what Keir Starmer’s plan is. His dithering and absence on the international stage is embarrassing, and his trip to the Middle East is an afterthought, highlighting his failure to leverage any British influence.

Russia continues to pose a threat to the United Kingdom and our allies. We need to see much more direct action against Russia and its intolerable behaviour.

Our allies in the Middle East have continued to call for the United Kingdom to step up. Britain must do all it can to defend our allies, our personnel, and our assets during this conflict.

The ceasefire in Iran is welcome, and we support it. But it also brings a clear lesson. Energy security matters, and it needs clear-eyed, rational policy that protects our national interest. If stable oil and gas flows matter globally, they matter at home too. Most of the gas used domestically comes from the North Sea, but Ed Miliband is working to shut down the North Sea. Labour would rather leave billions of barrels of oil and gas under the sea bed, than compromise on their Net Zero ideology. Drilling the North Sea boosts our exports, supports British production and sustains jobs. It would bring in new revenue that Conservatives would use to bring down bills - saving a family £200. The lesson is obvious. Back our own energy and support new North Sea licences. Scrap the Energy Profits Levy and get Britain drilling. That is the Conservative plan to get Britain working again.

Today, Labour’s vindictive Family Farm Tax and Family Business Tax come into force. A broken promise to farmers and rural communities. Khan is the Police & Crime Commissioner for London. He has trashed London’s reputation on law & order. Crime & public safety is a huge problem & now he’s blaming it on ‘false propaganda’. He failed to deliver on police numbers & he’s failed to back the police tackle crime.
