Just unlocked the Avengers: Endgame Iron Man skin in Marvel Rivals 80% by just playing and not purchasing. 2,000 in game currency and 600 premium from a battle pass. The first time in years I don’t feel like a game is trying to manipulate me into purchases. Fresh air.

Community managers will be stereotyped as people who use corporations as tools to push agendas, and then tweet stuff like this. This whole thought process assumes that a thought process you find problematic is somehow a default for a community and you find yourself to be the harbinger of truth. I don’t understand why it is acceptable to use a corporation’s name as a step stool for your politics. Community managers are hilariously underpaid and laid off very often, and then wonder why. Do better. Stop assuming gamers need to be saved. Get back to reporting player feedback & communicating with players to create healthy relationships with development teams and players. Also, may I ask, do you view far right and far left thinking equally problematic? I do. Are you in the same boat?

@QuitCheatin Hindsight is 20/20. Everyone was on Warzone. You can say “pandemic pandemic” to cope but everyone played it and many, many loved it.

@ProReborn Its a shame that the game looks so good but the general experience of it was awful. Also afterwards every call of duty declined because Activision milked it into the oblivion trying to “Warzonificate” every single mode

@ProReborn Gameplay even to me, it feels like it's on another level to whatever was before and out at the time. The downside of it was always the matchmaking algorithm of course.

@JustOptical Their gameplay design was piss but the engine was really next level compared to what they were pumping out. People forgot CoD was dying before this.

@RedBSierra Objectively on a technical level, yes. Gameplay took a major hit though & Warzone was the best experience IW ever put out since MW2/3.

And people are still eating it up. I used to see CoD as the enemy of the industry but now I believe it is a mirror of hyper consumption. Consumers have no backbone and will just eat up anything. Your faults.
