It’s done! With no help from Luna (the cat lump sleeping in the background 😂), I’ve finished my character POV edit for #Blackbirch 4 🎉. Now I just need to check a few notes, do a ProWritingAid spellcheck, & read it through once more before sending it to betas by month’s end!

Editing tip: Avoid word echoes Before: "A day in the pool is an unusual day for us." After: "A day in the pool is unusual for us." ("day" is needlessly repeated) The more unusual a word is, the more its repetition will stand out. Use a tool like Prowritingaid to find these.

Thank you @ProWritingAid and @abigailkperry for the great insight. Wrote my logline and blurb tonight. Very worthwhile exercise as I move into book three.

For the first few years I was stuck on the first three chapters. I researched, stalled and rewrote so many times until Jan 2022 when I decided this story had to get out! Then I discovered @ProWritingAid's Fantasy Writer's week & it was a life-changing experience! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
