Both are essential to ensuring everyone in Massachusetts can put food on the table. Our state leaders must make it a top priority to improve access to SNAP.

We're grateful the FY27 budget includes funding for Free School Meals for All. At the same time, more investment is needed to ensure that people trying to access the SNAP benefits they're eligible for can get their calls answered.

When 40% of Massachusetts households are struggling to afford food, funding access to our most effective anti-hunger programs—school meals and SNAP—must be a priority.

Our 12th annual Summer Food Rocks Tour was an incredible success! Kids and teens enjoyed filling meals at the park, staff greeted everyone with a smile as they handed out meals, and families shared how Summer Eats helps them breathe a bit easier.

Salem Summer Eats served more than 1,700 meals in its first week. Keep in mind we have new dinner sites at Collins Cove Park (4-4:45 p.m.) and Pequot Highlands (5-5:45 p.m.) Monday through Friday. Sites and schedules at: salemk12.org/district-depar… @projectbread @CityofSalemMA
