I suppose it is a new variable, but has not changed any other weed, and I’ve had plenty of cases where a turkey ruined some weed in a couple days not in a wine fridge. While the schedule doesn’t allow for an official rematch for the bracket, I’m definitely down to run a sanctioned duel rematch for setting the record straight no doubt.

The turkey is a big part of the issue but I think as I’ve talked to more people and heard their experience with the wine fridge situation. It’s not only the turkey but the combo of being in a turkey and then going into a wine fridge. So it was exponentially affected by a brand new variable never before introduced before this bracket. Essentially an unprecedented first time issue for both parties. For example I strongly believe the flower wouldn’t have changed much if at all in that short of periods of time if it was in the turkey just sitting in a normal cold room If there was a cause for rematch this would be it!

I have no problem losing to a better product. But that’s not what happened yesterday. First time I’ve ever been genuinely upset by a proper dual result. Things like these can really put a strain on trust levels. Mind blown would be an understatement 🤦🏻‍♂️

I would say as far as communication, the mistake was not realizing you didn’t watch it back while we were discussing the turkey and why it would be in there and debriefing our rules of keeping it in the packaging it came in for all entries. It was in a turkey the whole episode on the table, so if it were an issue we figured something would be said that first episode. It’s super unfortunate, and def explained the issue. It’s tough because we would be texting a ton of people asking if they’re sure they want it in this or that, which is why we have our rule to leave it as is. Not our place to speak on packaging, some argue turkey bags are the way, so we don’t quite know sometimes

It’s not that simple. When there’s money and reputation and all these important factors on the line I do believe it requires more of a mutual relationship and communication level about details like that between the competitor and the competition. But I do blame myself & my team first and foremost, this is for sure.
