Thanks to the amazing efforts of the @ricoheurope team, we now have a brand-new football kit for our college team! Ricoh Europe visited QAC for a mini showcase where our students had the opportunity to unveil their new kit! Thanks again to Ricoh Europe for their amazing and continuous fundraising efforts. Early this year two of our students Daniel and Niamh, had the amazing opportunity to take part in a Ski Training week with the Special Olympics West Midlands Ski Group, where they also had the opportunity to meet former British Olympic Skier and Ski Sunday presenter @skigrahambell Niamh's mom, Tracey stated "It was so lovely to see both Daniel and Niamh represent QAC so well.  They were well-mannered, engaged, willing to learn, respectful and great team players.  It was wonderful to witness.  Thank you to everyone at QAC for their continued positive input and dedicated support in helping Niamh become the very best version of herself, it is appreciated more than you will ever know". Over the 24th and 25th of February, our amazing staff at QAC dedicated time to upskilling through a variety of training sessions! From Archery to Braille lessons and even completing a Level 2 Makaton training with resources from The @MakatonCharity, our team exemplifies a commitment to growth and improvement. Well done to everyone who took part!

Students will return tomorrow, February 26th! This term has been eventful, and we can't wait to see the exciting moments that the next half will bring!

Our Independence Plus clients and residential students have been busy the past week! They participated in an exciting Valentine’s Day card making competition, enjoyed a fun visit to the Sea Life Centre, and had a great time at their weekly social club.

What a fantastic morning at SporTea! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for a morning filled with sports, tea, coffee and cake! Our sports and hospitality students were phenomenal, providing fun activities and delicious treats for our guests offered in line with their learning programmes. SporTea is a charity run corporate engagement event that offers businesses the chance to come together and engage with some of our students. It was exciting to connect with local businesses on a deeper level as they gained a better understanding of our mission and impact. We can’t wait for the next event!

On February 6th, our QAC football team travelled to Redditch for their latest league fixture, displaying fantastic teamwork and sportsmanship! The team played a total of four matches, securing one win and one draw, while showing great determination and support for each other throughout. Well done to everyone for their hard work and commitment!

As this week is National Apprenticeship Week, we are highlighting our Supported Internship programme that provides young people aged 16 - 24 with an exciting stepping into the world of work. Facilitated by a team of expert Job Coaches, our interns are supported to overcome barriers to employment, develop job readiness skills, build resilience and confidence to achieve their chosen pathway.
