Application security is entering a new phase where it is now an AI, API, and runtime risk problem. Reasoning-based vulnerability detection is a major step forward, but source code analysis alone cannot secure applications. True security requires continuous discovery of internet-facing assets and runtime testing to validate exploitability in production. Researchers at @qualys have issued an alert after discovering a set of nine vulnerabilities in Linux's built-in security layer, AppArmor, that affect millions of enterprise systems around the world. The "CrackArmor" flaws allow unprivileged local users to circumvent kernel protections, escalate to root privileges, and weaken container isolation.
