Yesterday Minister @ThomasCArthur visited Quarriers in Glasgow to hear about their community-based approach to care and specialist epilepsy support model. They also discussed advocacy and how evidence from front line care helps inform and drive improvement across the care sector

Every time I speak to Scotland’s care sector, they tell me they need more people. Westminster’s migration policies are very damaging to social care, but I’m proud that our displaced workers scheme helps care providers, like @quarriers who I visited today, retain skilled staff.

We were pleased to welcome @JohnSwinney, @ScotGovFM to our Fife Supported Living service, highlighting the vital role of international care workers, workforce stability, and the impact of the Scottish Government’s Displaced Worker Scheme in supporting independent living.

This afternoon, our Policy & External Relations Officer @EwanTCarmichael has been at the Scottish Parliament to support @ALLIANCEScot’s #MoreThanWords campaign. 💬 Inclusive and accessible communication is vital - and must be underpinned by legal recognition and protections. 🩵

✍️ We are proud to join over 200 signatories calling for urgent action to address the crisis facing social care in Scotland. 📈 The Scottish Government must act now, with measures including sustainable multi-year funding and a fully funded medium-term recovery plan.
