Last week, the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre helped launch Fraud Prevention Month with a national media event on this year’s theme: “Fraud: The Hidden Crime.” The event was hosted at the @bankofcanada , who generously welcomed partners and stakeholders to discuss the growing impact of fraud across Canada. Moderated by the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, the panel featured representatives from the @rcmpgrcpolice , @OPP_News, @OttawaPolice and the @CompBureau. Together, we discussed current fraud trends, the evolving tactics used by fraudsters, and the importance of collaboration in preventing and disrupting fraud. Fraud can happen to anyone, and it often goes unreported. Events like this help raise awareness and highlight the work being done across Canada to protect individuals and businesses.
