Why not try this fun Halloween pumpkin experiment at home. All you need is a pumpkin, some bicarb (or baking powder), food colouring, vinegar and a pot/cup. Add the food colouring and bicarb to the pot, and place in the pumpkin. Add the vinegar and watch your pumpkin ooze. Enjoy!

Tonight our ICanToo students are at the React Engineering offices. One of the activities include a Formula 1 presentation by Tim Brentnall!

The other activity is building boats with React Engineer John! ⛵️Testing our buoyancy laws!

Today we are kicking off our annual KS2 science shows. This year we have Simon Watt from Science Made Simple presenting his fun and energetic show, Ugly Animals. We can’t wait to see you all at the shows.

On Tuesday evening we held our annual Awards and Promise evening for our 2023/2024 bursary winners. Well done to all the winning students. We look forward to welcoming the 2024 winner back next September to hand over your cheques! Keep working hard this year.

Day 2 of Kepplewray! After a great night we are up to a morning of activities! One group are off to Coniston for canoeing and two groups are on the grounds trying archery and crate stacking 🏹 #IcanToo

Our latest ICanToo activity was a trip to the @RWE_UK Robin Rigg Wind Farm. The students were taught about the components of a turbine & learnt about renewable energy. They were then given the opportunity to travel out to Solway Firth on a vessel, to see the turbines up close! 🚤

Yesterday evening, we held our Promise Evening for our winning West Cumbrian students awarded our 2023 bursary prizes. The students from various local schools will pick up their cheques in September. Well done to all winning students!

Day 3 of our Manchester residential consisted of a tour around some of Manchesters historic landmarks.🚂Following with a trip to Manchester Airport to visit the Concorde! The students were invited to sit in the aircraft & even sit in the cockpit! 🛩️ #ICanToo
