We’ve updated the Close Market feature with two key improvements to ensure smoother resolutions and protect protocol integrity: The AI Oracle now verifies if a definitive outcome exists before proceeding. If no answer is available yet, the market remains open, preventing premature closures and ensuring data accuracy. To prevent abuse of the Close Market feature, we’ve adjusted the commitment bond. The new requirement is 0.1% of market volume or a $100 minimum (whichever is higher). This bond does not apply to market creators. If the Close Market is activated validly and the market resolves, the bond is returned to the user plus a 0.3% volume reward. This change raises the barrier while maintaining strong incentives for legitimate creators and resolvers. These updates directly address community feedback regarding "stuck" liquidity and market manipulation.

As part of our roadmap to launch the Rain DAO by the end of Q1, we have selected @SnapshotLabs as our official governance platform. Snapshot is the industry standard for both on-chain and off-chain voting, trusted by major ecosystems like @arbitrum, @Uniswap, @LidoFinance, and @ensdomains. Accessibility differentiates Snapshot - offering gasless voting, core features for free, and a myriad of governance tools at the most competitive price point in the space. We’re moving toward a fully decentralized Rain, and Snapshot provides the transparent infrastructure to launch our official DAO by the end of this quarter.

We are moving the Rain SDK into the execution phase by launching specialized agent skills for @openclaw. These skills allow an agent to operate the protocol’s core logic independently. A single prompt can now trigger the deployment of a new market contract, for example: “Will ETH hit $2600?”, without any manual UI intervention. Beyond creation, agents can now natively execute trades and pull real-time protocol data to manage their own market lifecycles. By removing the need for a human intermediary to bridge the gap between intent and action, we’ve turned Rain into a plug-and-play engine for any agent-led platform. A key insight from our beta phase has led to one of our most important upgrades yet: Permissionless Market Closing and Resolution. Until now, only creators could close markets, which sometimes led to delays. Now, anyone can close and trigger a resolution for any market at any time. Whether it’s providing a manual resolution or activating our AI resolution engine, the power is now in the hands of the community to ensure timely payouts. To keep the system secure, resolving a market requires a stake. Once resolved correctly, your stake is returned plus a 0.2% market volume reward - shared from the creator’s fee.
