Blessed Friday from the Lebanese monks and nuns, who at the height of the Battle of Zahle stood by the LF, by publicly holding a sit-in at the gates of the presidential palace to: - Shed light on the plight of civilians and fighters during the siege. -Peacefully call for an end of the siege using all diplomatic means. The sit-in lasted throughout the month of June 1981. By June 1981 the Syrian army had rendered life untenable in the Bekaa's capital. However Zahlewis refused to leave. Stay tuned.
