I so Much enjoyed the classy reception at @ClaridgesHotel to celebrate this year's winners of the prestigious @goldscholarship awards. 600 entries and only 10 of those aspiring young gifted professionals were put through their pace. So happy and proud to say that our very own @lemanoir former Head Waiter Caoimhe Houston is a highly commended winning finalist for 2026. Caoimhe professionalisms and attention to detail set a benchmark for excellence. Congratulations, Caoimhe - a brilliant achievement, we are all very proud of you. Congratulations to the winner Joel Pennington, all these amazing young people will go on to change the face of our hospitality.

Dear team, When I opened the doors of Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, A Belmond Hotel forty-one years ago, I had a dream. A very simple dream, really: to create a house where excellence mattered, yes—but where kindness, generosity, learning, and respect mattered even more. I could never, ever have imagined what that dream would become without my team. Le Manoir is not the walls, or the gardens, or even the food. Le Manoir is people. It always has been. It is the spirit you bring to the table every single day. And because of you, we stand here today, forty-one years later, recognised around the world—but more importantly, recognised by each other. This closure, this pause, is not an ending. It is a moment of reflection. A deep breath. A chance to look back and say: we did something extraordinary together. I want you to take that pride with you. Take the memories. The friendships. The laughter after service, the shared exhaustion, the moments when everything went wrong—and somehow, we made it right. I want to say thank you—not just for your work, but for your loyalty, your courage, and your commitment. Dear friends, guests, and family, Last night was our final service before the reinvention of Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, A Belmond Hotel begins. It was a triumph. Each team—from the kitchen and front of house to the restaurant—gave an extraordinary, heartfelt experience to every one of our guests. Although there was an element of sadness, there was also immense joy in closing such a proud 41-year chapter of our story. As the fireworks boomed, we raised our glasses to welcome the new year. I would like to thank all of our loyal guests and friends who have supported us throughout the years. What fun we have had—the parties, the weddings—bringing us all together to celebrate life.
