We’ve been working on maintaining roads resurfaced in the last five years by applying a preservation treatment to them to keep them in good condition for longer. It is a cost-effective, quick and convenient treatment which we’ll be using going forwards to ensure we keep more roads in better condition for longer.

We were one of the first councils to trial an innovative technique to apply a barrier coating to existing pavements to preserve and rejuvenate them. This extends their life, negating the need for more costly and time-consuming reconstruction. The trial was successful and we’ll be continuing to do this to keep your pavements in good condition.

Hi, This tree was removed as it was crashed into by a vehicle last summer. The damage to the cambium layer (just under the bark which varies water and nutrients up) of tree meant it wouldn’t survive, but it also wasn’t in danger of falling over as structurally it was still sound. Kind regards
