85,000 regulations. Nearly 100 unelected agencies. Citizens are left dealing with the consequences. It’s time to restore competence in government.

If I don’t deliver on these 8 pledges, I won’t ask for another term. That’s how this should work.

Division is a strategy politicians use so they can take more money and power from the citizens. It’s time to take back our government from the ruling class. Join us at reddyforgovernor.com

ROM REDDY CALLS FOR CHANGES TO SENATE SENIORITY SYSTEM (Charleston, SC) - Rom Reddy, the most conservative Republican candidate for governor, businessman, founder of DOGESC and seven figure donor to President Donald J Trump today issued the following statement: The way the South Carolina Senate operates is a perfect example of why government is broken. Committee chairmen are not chosen based on ability, leadership, vision or results. They are assigned based solely on seniority. That makes no sense and is the primary reason we have the roach motel syndrome - bills check in but don’t check out. Citizens are frustrated and the status quo for special interests preserved. In the real world, in the private sector, you do not put someone in charge of a division or a company just because they have been there the longest. You choose leaders based on their ability to lead. Or else you end up with complacent losers who don't care to see change when change is needed and cannot be ousted when they refuse to do their job. Government should be no different. When I am elected governor, I will use my influence to push the S.C. Senate to change chairmanship rules when they return for the 2027 session. Committees should elect their own chairmen. Chairmen should have an expiration date- my preference is two years consecutively, however I'm amenable to four years to align with senatorial terms. Leadership should be earned, not handed out based on time served. Right now this broken system allows one person controlled by special interests to stop the will of the people. That kind of centralized power is called tyranny and exactly what our founders fought to prevent. One or two individuals should not be be able to shape the agenda for the state. For example: Luke Rankin is the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, not because he was chosen as the best leader, but because he is the most senior member of the Republican Party when everyone knows that this one time Democrat is one of the most liberal members of the entire General Assembly. Because of this appointment Rankin routinely exercises his power to block legislation that the people of South Carolina overwhelmingly support. This status quo arrangement is a special interest orchestrated farce to the detriment of the citizens. Judicial reform passed the House with strong support. Republican voters across this state want it. Yet it sits, blocked, because of one man.  When I am elected governor, I will use the full weight of my office and my influence to ensure that this kind of obstruction ends.  I further propose that the Senate majority leader also have an expiration date. Again, my preference is 2 years. We need new blood and new perspectives in leadership. When you have a set time as leader you do not get complacent but instead strive to be consequential. The Senate majority leader, and all leaders for that matter, must be very aware that they serve the people not themselves.  I am not worried about this new system ousting great Chairman like Harvey Peeler for example because Harvey is a true patriot and the kind of leader a committee would be stupid not to elect. He's a man who ethically leads with honesty and isn't controlled by special interests. Enough already. It is time to go back to the founding principles of 1776 where elected officials protect our God given rights not their personal interests and the interests of their donors. It's time for something different.

My formula for leadership has always been to define a bold agenda that breaks the old norms and then shape opinion around that agenda. In politics, this involves tearing down the corrupt systems that feed off the citizen. It involves yanking money and power out of the hands of government and giving it back to the citizen. It involves protecting our children from evil, no matter the cost. It involves believing that our rights come from God and being filled with God’s grace. I fully expect incoming fire. I fully expect the bought-and-paid-for media to come after me. I fully expect my competitors to soon begin issuing fake polls to show I am not a factor so their donors don’t run for the exits. I am willing to take this incoming fire. For our patriots, I ask that you be bold, speak your mind, defend our agenda, and push back against the deep state and its operatives. This is not the time to be timid or afraid of being canceled. If we are to take back this state, now is the time to stand up and speak up for what we believe in. Do not be afraid to take incoming fire. Let’s have each other’s backs as we embark on this journey. As Dr. Ben Carson said, “You cannot be the land of the free if you are not the home of the brave.” We are the land of the free and the home of the brave, so we are ready. God bless. — Rom Reddy

SC has been the victim of the status quo. Same politicians - same results. It’s time for something new. @RomReddySC is the answer. He is not accepting donations nor endorsements. He can’t be bought. PS. I have spent a lot of time with this man and his family - they represent SC and our values - learn more about them at reddyforgovernor.com He’s not a politician. He’s a businessman who has delivered results and this is who you want in Columbia representing you - WE THE PEOPLE!
