Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced that his country is part of a key group working on a resolution that includes a proposal for Israel's expulsion from the UN General Assembly due to its human rights abuses and genocidal actions. During a session in the Malaysian parliament on Monday, Anwar stated that the draft resolution is currently being negotiated and should be submitted to the UNGA for approval "soon." He emphasized the urgency of implementing strong measures, including Israel's removal from the United Nations, in light of its violations of human rights and acts of genocide. “Malaysia will ensure that this agenda is prioritized and receives attention, aiming to halt the atrocities committed by the Israeli regime while also facilitating critical aid to the Palestinian people during this escalating violence,” Anwar remarked. He added that, once approved, the resolution would serve as a legal foundation for the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to continue delivering essential services, such as education, healthcare, and humanitarian assistance.
