The recently declassified documents published by Haaretz today - e.g. the orders by a Golani Brigade commander to 'shoot every 10th man' and murder all the Zabahim Arabs - should put an end to the "golden medium" theory of the Nakba promoted Benny Morris, a form of 'academic hasbara' which, due to Morris's eminence, has gotten a disturbing amount of currency. This was clearly - as Palestinians have said - a systematic ethnic cleansing policy, driven by systematic murders, massacres, and deliberate attacks on civilians.

You might think this is finally an honest headline from BBC about Israelis. It is not. It is still downplaying what actually happened. IDF didn't just shoot a 14 year old boy and watched him die. They created a cordon-off and actively prevented 2 ambulances from saving him.

And they encircled the bleeding child and denied Palestinian ambulances access to him.

Yet when October 7 happened, the focus wasn’t on the daily, structural violence that preceded it (the settler who runs someone over, the soldier who humiliates, or the system that enables it all). Instead, the focus was placed squarely on the Palestinian who reacts, as if reaction exists in a vacuum. That’s what this video exposes. One side’s permitted to brutalize, terrorize, and endanger lives in full view of the world, while the other’s expected to endure it quietly. If they don’t, they’re killed and then blamed for their own death.

⚡️🇮🇱JUST IN: The Israeli settler, who is a reserve soldier, rammed a Palestinian during prayer near Ramallah and was released to 5 days of house arrest. Before the ramming, he also shot at two Palestinians in the same area. No consequences because he is not Palestinian.

An armed Israeli settler deliberately ran over a young man while he was praying on the roadside near Ramallah in the West Bank. He probably wont be arrested or held accountable and is instead likely to be praised and rewarded by Israeli political leaders.
