One of the best parts about serving as your representative is meeting constituents. Recently, I attended the Lenten fish fry fundraiser at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Athens. While I was there I had a great conversation with Town of Johnson Chairman Tom Ellenbecker.

It was great to see @UWEauClaire student Anna Lindner from Loyal presenting at the @UniversitiesWI's Research in the Rotunda event this week. She and her classmates presented their research on community-based interventions for individuals with acquired brain injuries. #RITR2026

Last Saturday, @SenJesseJames and I attended Taylor Credit Union’s annual meeting. I appreciate the invitation to address their members. I was pleased to join with Senator James to present the credit union with a citation congratulating them on their 75th anniversary.

Yesterday, the hard work and dedication of the Neillsville Lady Warriors basketball team paid off with an impressive 58-31 victory in the Division 4 State Semifinal. They will play Albany/Monticello for the State Championship tomorrow. Go Warriors! #NeillsvillePRIDE

On Monday, I continued my tour of libraries across the 69th Assembly District with a visit to the Owen Public Library . I had a great conversation with librarian Loralee Petersen about the issues important to her and her library patrons.

I would like to thank all the stakeholders who worked hard to get this bill across the finish line, including @RAINN and the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault.

Earlier this week, I attended the Wisconsin County Constitutional Officers reception in Madison. There, I met with Marathon County Clerk Kim Trueblood, Clark County Treasurer Kyle Chamberlin, and Clark County Clerk Chris Jensen.

I had a delicious meal at Holy Rosary Parish's Lenten shrimp and fish dinner this evening. I always enjoy getting out to events across the district and supporting organizations in the community. While I was there, I had the chance to catch up with my friend Mike Bub.

🚨 @SenMarklein & @RepHurd's Wisconsin Survivor Justice & Safety Package has been signed by @GovEvers and has officially become law! This bill: 1️⃣ Allow survivors to break leases to escape unsafe homes 2️⃣ Provide immunity from intoxication and drug possession so survivors can report assault without fear of arrest 3️⃣ Expand the statute of limitations to 20 years for 2nd-degree sexual assault Thank you to everyone who testified, called their representatives, and signed letters to get this bill over the finish line.

On Monday, I visited the Abbotsford and Loyal libraries. I had the opportunity to meet with library staff and library board members. Libraries are important parts the community across the 69th District. I appreciate the opportunity to discuss some of the issues important to them.

We had a great conversation about their support for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and school based mental health programs. After our meeting I had the opportunity to show them around the Assembly Chambers. 🧵 (2/2)
