Today, as part of National Police Week, we honor the brave men and women in law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Our thoughts are with their families and colleagues today💙.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, the Senate failed to concur with us on our plan to return $1.8 billion of the surplus to Wisconsin taxpayers. Across the country, families are feeling the strain of rising costs. The #WIAssembly and @GovEvers wanted to do our part by using $1.8 billion from the state surplus to help families manage rising costs, reward hard work, and continue investing in special education. Instead, that money will remain in the state’s coffers. I never thought that when Ashley asked to be my campaign manager for my primary in 2013 that I would end up gaining two great friends in you and Ashley. You, Ashley and Adam are the reason why I won that special election and I would not have served all these years if she hadn’t asked to help me. I love you both. Thank you for your friendship.
